Wargames of the Waterloo Campaign

For Karoly and I our love of history is inextricably tied to our love of board wargaming. These games allow you to recreate (and change) the narrative of the battles in a manner that is complementary to media such as books and films. They help you to understand why the commanders made the decisions they did and give a unique perspective on the battles they represent - they are educational, challenging and FUN.Be aware that if your experience of military games is Risk or even Axis and Allies, most of these games will give you a vastly improved simulation of the events they represent - but at the expense of complexity and time. That said, some of these games are introductory in nature.
You'll have seen images from some of the games below use to illustrate the narrative on the battles pages and will no doubt have noticed that the approach to creating the game boards/maps can be very different. This can have a direct impact on how the games play.
